HEAD CHEF (INDIAN CUISINE) - KUWAIT
We are currently on the hunt for a Head Chef (Indian Cuisine) for one of our clients Indian Restaurant in Kuwait. The Head Chef willdirect all kitchen operations, creating authentic and modern menus while ensuring high-quality, consistent, and safe food preparation. We are looking for someone with high energy and a great personality.
Role brief:
- Prepare, cook, and oversee the production of a wide range of authentic, traditional, and modern Indian dishes, including curry and tandoor, with high-quality presentation
- Design, create, and cost menus featuring seasonal ingredients and in-line with restaurant concepts and customer preferences.
- Manage daily operations, including inventory, food cost analysis, and supplier relationships to ensure profitability
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of junior chefs and cooks, fostering a productive, high-standard, and safe working environment.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations (e.g., COSSH, H&S).
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, with 4–6+ years in Indian cuisine,
- In-depth knowledge of Indian ingredients, spices, and traditional/modern techniques.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification is often preferred
- Experience in inventory management, menu pricing, and managing food costs.
