FUNCTION: Provide support in the daily operations of the department. Responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all AU IT Systems.
PRIMARY TASKS:
- Provide first level support for computer software and classroom technology equipment used.
- Respond to requests for technical assistance in-person, via phone, and electronically.
- Install and maintain computer equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
- Perform typical maintenance tasks to support the daily operations of the department.
- Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required.
- Prioritize and manages multiple projects simultaneously and follow-up on issues in a timely manner.
- Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams and supervisor.
- Creates, updates, and/or maintains AU-developed operational guidelines and various in-house recordkeeping systems as needed.
- Follow the university rules, guidelines, and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as required.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY: To ensure that duties are carried out to a satisfactory standard.
DIRECTION/SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Direction is received from the Manager- Network and Systems Support.

SELECTION CRITERIA:
ESSENTIAL:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Certifications such as A+, Network+, MOUS, and/or MCP are preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure, unsupervised, and as a member of a team.
