Job Purpose
Responsible for overseeing and driving the performance of a team of van sales representatives to achieve sales targets, ensure effective route coverage, maintain strong customer relationships, and execute company sales and distribution strategies in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide a team of van sales representatives to ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Plan, monitor, and optimize van routes to ensure effective market coverage and productive use of resources.
- Monitor sales performance, productivity, and adherence to sales routes, schedules, and company policies.
- Conduct regular field visits with van sales representatives to coach, train, and improve selling skills and customer handling.
- Ensure proper execution of promotions, pricing, merchandising standards, and product visibility in the market.
- Monitor stock availability, van inventory, returns, and expiry management to minimize losses and ensure freshness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, retailers, and wholesalers within the assigned territory.
- Collect market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and customer feedback, and report insights to the Sales Manager.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of sales reports, route reports, and other required documentation.
- Enforce compliance with company SOPs, credit policies, cash collection procedures, and safety standards.
- Support the Sales Manager in implementing sales plans, incentives, and performance improvement initiatives.
Skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in FMCG sales, with prior exposure to van sales operations.
- Strong understanding of FMCG distribution in the traditional trade channel.

- Ability to analyze sales data and translate it into actionable plans.
- Problem-solving mindset with a hands-on, field-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in basic reporting tools and MS Excel is an advantage.
