Job Details

Job Purpose

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cafe, ensuring optimal customer satisfaction, and maintaining the brand’s high standards of service and quality


Key Roles and Responsibilities

Policies and Procedures

  • Implement the F&B Division’s set policies and procedures and comply with Mohamed Naser–Hajery & Son’s other policies.

 

Shop Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations ensuring efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure excellent service standards and maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints effectively and efficiently.
  • Provide product information and advice to customers.
  • Drive sales through ensuring consistent speed and quality of service and effective display.
  • Implement promotions and monitor their success.
  • Understand customer needs and trends, providing feedback to the management.
  • Oversee stock levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Implement loss prevention strategies to reduce wastage and theft.
  • Ensure the cafe is clean, well-organized, and properly merchandised.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with the BOH and logistics team to ensure product availability and freshness.

 

Health and Safety

  • Ensure compliance with licensing, hygiene, and health and safety legislation/ guidelines.
  • Ensure excellent standards of workstation cleanliness, personal hygiene, clean uniform, etc.
  • Ensure the cleaning schedule is adhered to and that cleaning tasks are delegated as appropriate, which includes ‘Line Check’ and ‘NCO’ (Neat, Clean & Orderly) activities such as checking temperatures and working conditions of equipment, cleaning food preparation areas, sanitizing stations, cleaning out trash, washing hands, etc. for hygiene purposes and efficient cleanliness.

People Management

  • Supervise, train, and mentor cafe staff.
  • Schedule shifts, manage leave and absenteeism, ensuring the cafe is adequately staffed.
  • Delegate the appropriate tasks and manage employee workloads.
  • Support in Identifying staff training needs.

  

Reports

  • Prepare relevant reports such as sales reports, customer service reports and incident reports on a regular basis and submit them to the Shop Manager.

Skills

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification

  • A technical diploma in Hotel Management/ Kitchen Apprenticeship, Culinary Arts or any related field.


Work Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in the same or related field.
