Job Summary

Experienced hands-on consultant responsible for design, configuration, integration and stabilization of SAP MM and WM/WMS processes in automotive Dealership and supply chain operations. Works closely with business operation and IT technical teams to deliver solutions. 




Job Responsibilities

•    Lead functional design workshops and translate business requirements into SAP MM/WM solutions.
•    Configure complex inbound/outbound, transfer, and inventory processes; optimize put away/picking strategies.
•    Translate business requirements from manufacturing, logistics, procurement, and quality into SAP functional specifications.
•    Manage master data governance: material/vendor masters, movement types, storage types, HU, and shelf-life settings.
•    Design and implement automotive requirements: JIT/Kanban, sequencing, batch/lot/serial tracking, traceability.
•    Integrate WMS with shop-floor systems, conveyors, barcode/RFID scanning, PLM/MES, and 3PL/warehouse automation where needed.
•    Define integration flows: EDI/IDoc for ASN/PO/INVOICE, barcode/RFID, MES/PLM integrations.
•    Develop functional specs for custom enhancements, forms (SmartForms/Adobe), reports (ABAP), and interfaces; work with ABAP developers to deliver solutions.
•    Lead testing (unit, integration, UAT), plan cutover, support go-live and post-go-live hyper care.




Candidate Requirements

Required Experience & Education
•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or related field.
•    5–8+ years of hands-on SAP MM and WM experience, preferably in automotive dealerships.
•    Experience with SAP S/4HANA and S/4 WM/EWM is a plus.
•    Proven track record of at least one full SAP implementation or major roll-out including configuration, testing and support.
•    Excellent problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
Technical Skills Checklist
•    Deep expertise in SAP MM and WM; good exposure to S/4HANA and EWM (storage types, transfer requirements, transfer orders, putaway/picking strategies).
•    Solid experience with EDI/IDoc/ALE, barcode/RFID integration and WMS automation interfaces.
•    Able to author and review functional specs and collaborate effectively with ABAP devs.
•    Familiar with GR/IR, OBYC settings, movement types, and warehouse performance tuning.
•    Experience with SAP activation and transport management, client copies, system landscape understanding.
•    Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
•    Analytical thinking, process improvement orientation, and decision-making under pressure.
•    Coaching mindset to upskill team members.
Certifications (preferred)
•    SAP Certified Application Associate — Procurement with SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA
•    SAP Certified Application Associate — Warehouse Management (or EWM)
KPIs / Success Metrics
•    On-time delivery of configuration and project milestones.
•    Reduction in inventory discrepancies and shrinkage post-implementation.
•    Improved warehouse throughput / decreased order cycle time.
•    Reduction in manual interventions for inbound/outbound processes and fewer EDI/IDoc errors.
•    User adoption/training completion rates and decreased incident tickets after stabilization.
