Plans, coordinates, and oversees all aspects of a lift for safety and compliance, focusing on leadership, risk management, and crew supervision
Plan and supervise all lifting activities in accordance with the lifting plan and risk assessments.
Ensure lifting equipment and accessories are certified, inspected, and fit for purpose.
Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, and other personnel involved in lifting operations.
Monitor site conditions and adjust lifting plans as necessary to maintain safety.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, company safety standards, and industry best practices.
Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings before lifting operations.
Maintain accurate records of lifting operations, equipment inspections, and personnel certifications.
Report any incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions immediately.
Skills
Certified Lifting Supervisor (recognized by local authority or relevant body).
Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, cranes, and rigging techniques.
Understanding of health and safety regulations related to lifting operations.
Ability to read and interpret lifting plans and load charts.
Good communication and leadership skills.
