Job Purpose:
The HSE Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating health, safety, and environmental training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. The role aims to promote a strong safety culture and reduce workplace incidents through effective education and awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Development & Delivery
- Design and implement HSE training programs (induction, refresher courses, specialized safety topics).
- Conduct classroom and on-site training sessions for employees and contractors.
- Prepare training materials, presentations, and manuals aligned with industry best practices.
- Compliance & Standards
- Ensure training programs comply with local regulations, international standards (ISO 45001, OSHA), and company policies.
- Maintain accurate training records and certification tracking.
- Risk Awareness & Safety Culture
- Promote proactive safety behaviors and hazard awareness.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety campaigns.
- Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Assess training effectiveness through tests, feedback, and performance metrics.
- Update training content based on incident trends, audits, and regulatory changes.
Skills
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
- Experience: 3+ years in HSE training or safety management.
