We are seeking a skilled and safety-oriented Crane Operator to join our team in the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment at our facilities in Al Ahmadi, Kuwait. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols, crane operations, and mechanical systems to ensure efficient and safe lifting operations. As a Crane Operator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our ongoing projects and maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage different types of cranes, including mobile, tower, and overhead cranes, in compliance with company regulations and safety standards.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on cranes to ensure they are in safe working condition before starting operations.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to plan and execute lifting operations effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing projects.
- Monitor load weights and ensure that lifting equipment is not overloaded, following all safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of crane operations, including daily logs, maintenance schedules, and inspection reports.
- Assist in the training of junior operators and new team members on safe crane operation practices and protocols.
- Respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies that may arise during crane operations, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks.
- Participate in regular safety meetings and contribute to the development of safety policies and procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on cranes as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and changes in safety regulations to continuously improve operational practices.
Preferred Candidate:
- Proven experience as a Crane Operator, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of crane mechanics and safety regulations related to lifting operations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills, capable of identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and at different heights, demonstrating physical stamina and resilience.
- Valid crane operator certification and relevant licenses as required by local regulations.
