Facilities Engineer (Kuwaiti National)

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Facilities Engineer to join our dynamic team in the FMCG sector in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and improvement of our facilities, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The Facilities Engineer will collaborate with various departments to optimize facility operations and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement maintenance strategies for all facilities to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and assessments of facility systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  3. Manage and oversee facility-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  4. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for maintenance and repair work, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  5. Prepare and manage the facilities budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  6. Implement sustainability initiatives to reduce energy consumption and improve environmental impact.
  7. Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards related to facility operations.
  8. Train and mentor junior staff on best practices in facility management and maintenance.
  9. Develop and maintain documentation related to facility operations, maintenance schedules, and safety protocols.
  10. Act as the primary point of contact for facility-related inquiries and issues, providing timely resolutions.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in facilities management or engineering within the FMCG sector or similar industries.
  3. Strong technical knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
  4. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  7. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience in mentoring and developing junior staff.
  8. Proficiency in using facility management software and tools.
  9. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring thorough documentation and compliance.
  10. Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
