We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Mechanic to lead our mechanical team within the oil and gas industry in Al Kuwait, Kuwait. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of mechanical systems specific to oil and gas operations, including drilling equipment, pipelines, and refining machinery. This role requires a strong leader who can manage a team of mechanics, ensuring that all maintenance and repair work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety. The Chief Mechanic will be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance schedules, conducting inspections, and optimizing the performance of mechanical equipment critical to our operations. Additionally, the successful candidate will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless operations and will play a key role in training and mentoring junior mechanics, particularly in the context of oil and gas machinery.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and supervise a team of mechanics, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of maintenance tasks related to oil and gas equipment.
2. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs tailored to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of drilling rigs and other machinery.
3. Conduct regular inspections of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations specific to the oil and gas industry.
4. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to address mechanical problems and enhance equipment performance in drilling and production activities.
5. Provide training and mentorship to junior mechanics, focusing on the specialized skills required for oil and gas machinery.
6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance, utilizing industry-specific software tools as necessary.
7. Manage inventory of mechanical parts and supplies, ensuring availability for timely repairs and maintenance of critical oil and gas equipment.
8. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in oil and gas mechanical technology to enhance operational efficiency.
9. Assist in budgeting and cost control for maintenance operations, identifying opportunities for cost savings in oil and gas projects.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Proven experience as a Chief Mechanic or in a similar leadership role within the oil and gas industry.
2. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques specific to oil and gas operations.
