Position Summary

The Rental Sales Engineer - Generators will drive rental sales by identifying opportunities, building strong client relationships, and providing tailored power generation solutions. This role requires technical expertise, market knowledge, and a customer-centric approach to succeed in a fast-paced and competitive environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales and Business Development

  • Identify and pursue rental opportunities for diesel generators and power solutions within the assigned market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, including contractors, construction companies, event organizers, and industrial clients.
  • Conduct site visits to assess clients’ power needs and recommend suitable generator rental solutions.
  • Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards.

2. Market Research and Strategy

  • Analyze market trends and monitor competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to promote products and services.

3. Coordination and Operations

  • Collaborate with the aftersales team to ensure timely delivery, installation, and commissioning of rented generators.
  • Work with the technical team to address client issues, including maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting during the rental period.
  • Ensure all rental agreements, contracts, and documentation comply with company policies.

4. Customer Relationship Management

  • Serve as the main point of contact for rental clients, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the rental process.
  • Provide after-sales support and collect feedback to enhance service quality and client experience.

5. Reporting and Compliance

  • Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and activity logs to the Sales Manager.
  • Meet assigned sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for generator rentals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations during rental operations.


Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or an equivalent technical qualification).

Experience

  • 2-3 years of sales experience in the power generation or rental industry.
  • Proven track record in generator applications for construction, industrial, and commercial projects.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong technical understanding of diesel generators and power systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Knowledge of local market demands and regulations related to power rental services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic.
