Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef specialized in Asian cuisine to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen while ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development for Asian dishes.
  • Prepare and cook high-quality Asian cuisine, ensuring presentation and flavor standards are met.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations and equipment.
  • Oversee inventory management and ordering of supplies to ensure fresh ingredients are always available.
  • Monitor food safety and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in managing kitchen labor costs and controlling wastage.
  • Stay current on culinary trends, techniques, and Asian cuisine specializations.


Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a relevant culinary role, specifically in Asian cuisine.
  • In-depth knowledge of Asian cooking techniques, flavors, and ingredients.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.

Desired Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with a focus on Asian cuisine.
  • Experience working in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role is advantageous.
