Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and support the implementation of cost-reduction strategies and action plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Assess and report financial estimates for cost-saving initiatives.
- Provide recommendations to optimize resource allocation and improve cost efficiency.
- Collect and analyze cost data, cost drivers, and financial performance indicators.
- Design and oversee the development of IT applications to offer insights on cost trends and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure that cost baseline and optimization efforts maintain a balance between efficiency and compliance.
- Periodically review and refine cost baseline models and cost optimization processes.
- Drive the automation of cost baselines and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Support the hydrocarbon accounting process across the company’s value chain, including data validation and reconciliation to ensure consistency and accuracy in production data.
- Coach and mentor internal resources to build capabilities in supporting and leading cost optimization initiatives.
Experience:
- A minimum of 18 years of industry experience, including 13+ years in the Oil & Gas (O&G) sector in a similar role.
- Extensive expertise in financial analytics, cost management, and cost optimization across the O&G value chain.
Proven experience in Oil & Gas procurement and financial transformation initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or advanced degrees in Finance, Engineering, or Business.
- Preferred professional certifications such as:
Certified Cost Professional (CCP)
Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
Kaizen or Six Sigma certifications
- A proven track record of successfully advising and supporting CXO-level executives in O&G organizations on cost management and optimization.

- Financial Analytics and Modeling: Proficiency in cost analysis, budget forecasting, and financial performance evaluation.
- Cost Optimization Techniques: Expertise in cost-reduction strategies, cost driver analysis, and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma).
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Oil & Gas value chain, including upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.
- IT Applications and Tools: Experience in designing and using IT systems for cost tracking, trend analysis, and process automation.
- Hydrocarbon Accounting: Knowledge of hydrocarbon accounting processes and tools for data validation and reconciliation.
- Procurement and Supply Chain Management: Familiarity with cost-saving strategies in procurement, logistics, and resource allocation.
