Position – Technical Presales Engineer

Mandatory – Experience in a technical presales or system engineer role focusing on managed services or IT infrastructure.

Technical Skills –

·        Good understanding of server architectures, storage solutions, networking protocols, and virtualization technologies.

·        Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google).

·        Familiarity with infrastructure automation, monitoring, and management tools.

·        IT Certifications is a plus (e.g. MCSE, CCNA)

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Presales Engineer with experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Managed Services, including Security Operations Center (SOC), Network Operations Center (NOC), and Managed Workplace Services, as well as comprehensive knowledge of IT Infrastructure. This role involves collaborating closely with the sales and technical teams to design and present tailored solutions that meet our clients' complex business needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement & Requirement Analysis:
  • Collaborate with sales teams to engage with prospective and existing clients to understand their business challenges and technical requirements related to managed services and IT infrastructure.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and gap analyses to identify opportunities for solution offerings.
  • Solution Design & Architecture:
  • Develop and design comprehensive, scalable, and cost-effective solutions encompassing SOC, NOC, Managed Workplace Services, and IT Infrastructure (including servers, storage, networking, and cloud services).
  • Create detailed technical proposals, including architecture diagrams, solution descriptions, and implementation plans tailored to client needs.
  • Technical Presentations & Demonstrations:
  • Deliver compelling and articulate technical presentations and demonstrations to clients, effectively communicating the value proposition and technical advantages of proposed solutions.
  • Conduct workshops and technical deep-dive sessions to address specific client concerns and requirements.
  • Proof of Concept (PoC) Development:
  • Lead the planning and execution of PoCs to validate solution effectiveness and demonstrate capabilities to clients.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful PoC outcomes and address any technical challenges.
  • RFP/RFI Response Management:
  • Prepare comprehensive and accurate responses to RFPs and RFIs, showcasing the organization's capabilities and aligning solutions with client specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and ensure timely and high-quality submissions.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams:
  • Work closely with product management, service delivery, and engineering teams to stay updated on service offerings and ensure alignment between proposed solutions and operational capabilities.
  • Provide feedback and insights from client interactions to inform product and service improvements.
  • Industry & Technology Expertise:
  • Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in managed services and IT infrastructure.
  • Advise clients and internal teams on innovative solutions and strategic technology adoption.
  • Training & Knowledge Sharing:
  • Conduct training sessions for sales and technical teams on new services, solutions, and technologies.
  • Develop and maintain a repository of technical documentation, case studies, and reference architectures.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Experience in a technical presales or solutions engineering role focusing on managed services and IT infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering complex technical solutions to enterprise clients.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Managed Services Expertise:
  • Strong understanding of SOC operations, including security monitoring, threat intelligence, incident response, and compliance standards.
  • Strong understanding of NOC functions, including network monitoring, performance optimization, and incident management.
  • Experience with Managed Workplace Services such as desktop support, endpoint management, and service desk operations.
  • IT Infrastructure Proficiency:
  • Solid understanding of server architectures, storage solutions, networking protocols, and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Security & Compliance:
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Tools & Technologies:
  • Familiarity with SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios), and endpoint management platforms.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex requirements and design effective solutions.

  • ITIL Foundation or Practitioner certification.
