Solaris Sun Administrator - Kuwait / Oil and Gas Sector

A. Accountabilities:

• Perform system builds and HW upgrade the Solaris & UNIX servers as well as HW maintenance and repairs /replacements.
• Responsible for maintain & enhance existing systems administrator tools.
• Responsible for diagnose and isolate operating system, server-side networking and application related problems.
• Maintain effective communications with IT team and other support organization.
• Provide system backup support including user menus, scripts, backup software and web-based monitoring tools.
• Assist with reporting metrics on system performance, stability and utilization. Working environment. on premises or cloud.

Skills

B. Qualification:

• Experienced in Solaris 10 & (11 is a plus).
• Experienced in Open boot rint.
• Experienced in installing Patches & packages.
• Solaris 10 & 11 certified Engineer.
• Good experience for on-premises, cloud, hybrid environments.

C. Experience:

• At least five years' experience in administering Solaris & UNIX system.

D. Education:

• University graduate in Computer/Electronics Engineering/Science/Information Technology.

E. General Skills:

• Fluent in English-Preferably bilingual.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good Communication skill.

D. General Remark:

• The role is Kuwait Based for Oil & Gas sector.
• The salary budget is 3000/-USD - 4000/-USD as per the qualification and experience non-negotiable.
