Job Summary:
The Junior IP - Country Representative will handle and oversee intellectual property services within Kuwait, including trademark and patent filings, client communication, and administrative responsibilities. This role requires someone organized, proactive, and eager to grow within the field of intellectual property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Country Representation:
- Act as the firm’s primary representative in Kuwait, managing relations with local authorities, such as the Trademark Office (TMO) and other government bodies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including clients, local partners, and government officials.
- Trademark and Patent Management:
- Support the filing and follow-up of trademark and patent applications in Kuwait.
- Conduct basic research and provide initial opinions on trademark and patent inquiries.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely renewals and updates.
- Client Support:
- Provide timely updates to clients regarding their filings, applications, and cases.
- Communicate efficiently with clients to resolve inquiries or address challenges as they arise.
- Collaborate with the Senior Representative and the team to support client accounts.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain organized records of all IP-related documents and correspondence.
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Coordinate with other teams for cross-functional support and alignment.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or a related field.
- Interest in intellectual property law and willingness to develop expertise in the area.
- Strong communication skills in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
