Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Concrete QC Engineer with expertise in airport apron paving and concrete work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control processes, specifically within the context of airfield and airport construction projects. This role is crucial for ensuring that all concrete operations meet the high standards required for safety, durability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure quality control for all concrete work related to airport apron paving, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and testing of concrete materials and completed work to verify adherence to quality specifications.
• Collaborate with site personnel to implement best practices in concrete placement and finishing, drawn from extensive experience in asphalt paving.
• Review and interpret project documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and standards related to airport apron construction and airfield works.
• Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, testing results, and non-conformities, and develop reports for project management.
• Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams regarding concrete quality issues and best practices.
• Facilitate communication between the project team, subcontractors, and stakeholders to resolve quality-related concerns promptly.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to the development of quality assurance plans and protocols.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Concrete QC Engineer or in a similar role, specifically within airport construction projects.
• Strong understanding of concrete technology, materials, and testing methods relevant to airport apron paving.
• Certification in concrete quality control or relevant industry certifications is a plus (e.g., ACI certification).
• Familiarity with airport construction standards, guidelines, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Ability to work on-site and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced construction environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working on airfield construction projects specifically related to airport aprons.
• Background in asphalt paving and understanding of its relationship with concrete applications.
