A Room Attendant in The House Hotel, Khiran is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Their duties include making beds, replenishing linens and amenities, vacuuming, dusting, and reporting any maintenance issues. They ensure each room is welcoming and comfortable for guests.
JOB DESCRIPTION
ASSET & EXPERIENCE:
· Treat all furnishings, artwork, tools and equipment responsibly and with care so that the hotels assets are protected and effectively maintained.
· Use cleaning products and cleaning supplies according to instruction and safety procedure.
· Be security conscious with keys and open room doors.
· Be aware of the hotel emergency, fire and safety procedures.
· Follow the safety precautions while working with heavy machinery and strong chemicals as required.
PEOPLE:
· Attend daily briefings with the Supervisor/ Executive Housekeeper and pay careful attention to all instructions and priorities for the day and as per shift. Contribute to the meetings with suggestions and by asking questions.
· Pick up work assignment, key, guest and cleaning supplies according to established procedure and proceed to the assigned area.
· Follow the safety precautions while working with heavy machinery and strong chemicals as required.
· Always take care of the personal appearance and grooming, adhere to the THH uniform standards.
· Replenish the maid cart/trolley with guest and cleaning supplies from the pantry room, ready for pick up by the coming attendant at the following shift.
COMMUNITY:
· Observe and anticipate a guest wishes while cleaning a room and or public areas, thus to exceed the guest’s expectation and make his / her stay as pleasant as possible.
· Be helpful and courteous to guests while working in guest rooms at all times.
· Report all maintenance to Engineering department accordingly.
· Report lost and found items found at the guest rooms to the Supervisor at once and handle the items according to Lost & Found procedure.
GROWTH:
· Actively participate in and conduct the daily meetings.
· To meet internal and external guest expectation is essential but to delight guests is an overriding priority.
· Adhere to follow THH standards and policies at all times.
· Complete work assignment according to established procedure.
· Perform special cleaning tasks, as requested by the Housekeeping Supervisor on shift.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
· At least 2 years of experience as a room attendant in a hotel or similar environment.
· Proficient in English, both spoken and written, for effective communication with guests and team members.
· Strong attention to detail to ensure rooms are cleaned and presented to the highest standards.
· Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete daily room quotas.
· Knowledge of cleaning procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
· Clean bedrooms, bathrooms and suites according to established procedure and carry out special cleaning tasks as required.
