About the Role

Legal Advisor (Kuwaiti Nationals)

Responsibilities

• Review and draft all contracts and agreements pertaining to the company’s business transactions.
• Preparing standard service agreement templates to support the company’s sales activities.
• Review all documentation pertaining to all types of company agreements.
• Ensure that the Company’s interests are well protected and all eventualities are catered for.
• Comply and assist in auditing the compliance of all agreements and contracts with policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
• Advice on the company’s structure of subsidiaries, shareholders’ and BOD meeting minutes when requested, and governmental processes.
• Following up on all applicable laws & regulations to be acquainted with any new laws/regulations and executive orders newly enacted and may impact the company’s business and affairs.
• Share applicable laws & regulations with the concerned departments on the formats approved by the Head of the Department.
• Follow up and understand internal company departments, collect documentation and necessary feedback required to liaise with the external counsel when handling disputes before the courts and other legal bodies.
• Managing dispute resolution and settlement claims outside courts when requested.
• Provide advice on any issue that arises in the company's day-to-day operation in relation to claims, tenders, contracts, and matters of legal nature.
• Translate legal documents into English/Arabic for internal use as the department head requires.

Qualifications

• BA in Law from a reputable university.
• 5 years' of legal work experience in corporates.
• Good communication skills in English & Arabic.
• Corporate law experience is required, including reviewing and drafting commercial contracts, especially commercial agencies, distributorship, and service agreements.
