Position Title: Painting Supervisor
Location: Mina Abdullah, Kuwait
Department: Production
Reports To: Production Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Standard Hour Salary Range: 400 KWD - 420 KWD
Role Requirements:
Achieve Daily Tonnage Targets:
Responsible for meeting daily and weekly tonnage targets for painted and coated steel components, ensuring production schedules are adhered to without compromising quality.
Control Work-In-Progress (WIP):
Efficiently manage the workflow on the shop floor, minimizing WIP in the paint line to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. Coordinate with other departments to optimize the sequence of jobs and avoid bottlenecks.
Quality Control and Surface Preparation:
Ensure all surface preparation meets the required standards. Supervise both machine and manual blasting processes and maintain quality checks throughout.
Coating Application Management:
Oversee the application of different coating systems, including gray oxide, red oxide, and multi-layer systems. Ensure correct Wet Film Thickness and Dry Film Thickness are achieved.
Team Leadership and Training:
Lead and manage a team of painters and blasters, providing training, guidance, and support to maintain high performance and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Safety and Compliance:
Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure all team members follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
Education:
Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or a related field) with 5 to 7 years of experience in PEB, structural painting, or blasting.
OR Diploma
in Engineering or a related field with over 10 years of experience in PEB, structural painting, or blasting.
Experience:
- Proven experience in managing painting and blasting operations in a steel manufacturing or construction environment.
- Strong understanding of coating systems, surface preparation standards, and their practical applications.
