Instructor of Project Management – Adjunct

Position Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Project Management professional to join our Executive Education program as an Adjunct Professor. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in project management across diverse industries and hold certifications in recognized methodologies such as PMP, Agile, or PRINCE2. This role is essential for equipping senior executives and managers with the skills and knowledge necessary to lead successful projects in today’s dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Design, develop, and continuously update course materials that cover core project management principles, tools, and methodologies. The curriculum should encompass a wide range of topics, including project planning, risk management, resource allocation, Agile practices, and change management, ensuring that it is both comprehensive and aligned with current industry standards.
  • Course Delivery: Lead interactive and practical sessions tailored to senior executives and managers, focusing on refining their project management capabilities. Employ a variety of teaching methods, such as case studies, simulations, group discussions, and real-world project exercises, to ensure participants can apply what they learn directly to their professional roles.
  • Professional Engagement: Guide participants in applying project management techniques to real-world business scenarios. Provide mentorship and support as they develop strategies to manage complex projects, ensuring they are prepared to tackle challenges in their organizations.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Develop and implement effective assessment tools to evaluate participant performance, including assignments, case studies, and projects. Offer constructive feedback that helps participants improve their skills and understanding of project management best practices.
  • Industry Integration: Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in project management, including emerging methodologies, tools, and technologies. Continuously integrate this knowledge into the curriculum to keep the course relevant and forward-looking. Engage with industry professionals to bring contemporary insights and practical examples into the classroom.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Education team to ensure that the course content is aligned with the broader goals of the program and meets the evolving needs of industry professionals. Participate in curriculum reviews, program development, and other collaborative initiatives to enhance the quality and impact of the Executive Education offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field is required. Candidates holding a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent qualification such as PRINCE2 or Agile certification are preferred.
  • Professional Experience: Extensive experience in managing projects across various industries, with a proven track record of leading successful projects from initiation to completion. Experience in consulting or working with senior executives on project management strategies is highly desirable.
  • Teaching Experience: Previous teaching experience at the university level, particularly in executive education or professional development programs, is an advantage. Experience in developing and delivering online or hybrid courses is also beneficial.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to engage and inspire a diverse group of senior professionals. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex project management concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Continuous Learning: A commitment to professional growth and staying current with the latest developments in project management. Active participation in professional organizations, industry conferences, or continuous education is encouraged.
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic is required.
