SME - GIS Consultant

  • Shall be responsible for identifying, prioritising and analysing work processes and providing technical expertise for gas monitoring works.
  • Oversee all the system operations, including data management, system administration, technical consulting, reporting and training.
  • Analyse the data from all Gas devices and complete the modelling and preparation of the report.
  • Review and analyse the data using the Data Analysis Tools deployed by the Contractor.
  • Data analysis shall be composed of identifying relationships between gas concentration and the environmental parameters for any changes.
  • Work closely with the users to understand their business activities and workflows and to formulate cost-effective GIS-based solutions.
  • Analyse the business requirements and prepare plans for system upgrading accordingly.
  • Understand the GIS technology used in existing surveys and develop corresponding system operational procedures.
  • Investigate the data collection and perform data Q/A and Q/C of gas monitoring.
  • Working with GIS staff to solve technical problems and propose and implement future enhancements.
  • Generating the system activity reports and supervising the implementation of management directions.
  • Acting as the liaison between the surveying team and the GIS Unit.
  • Dedication to work and commitment to work deadlines and quality standards.
  • Compliance with the GIS Code of Ethics stated by the GIS Certification Institute.

Skills

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Geology.
  • Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in which, at least seven (7) years in similar kind of consultancy services to Oil & Gas Companies.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of Ground Gas Analysis Software(s) and be well-experienced in area mapping.
  • ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server Management, Job Tracking, Spatial Analyst, SDE Administration, Map Services Security Management, ArcGIS Data Reviewer and ArcGIS Data Interoperability.
  • Excellent English capabilities and communication skills.
  • Preferably, knowledge of GIS applications in the survey field.
  • Preferably, knowledge of supervision and technical writing.
