C-17 Mechanical Technician

We are seeking a C-17 Mechanical Technician to undertake airframe, propulsion, electrical and avionics maintenance activities in support of Kuwait Air Force (Organizational Level) flight line and back shop maintenance at Al-Mubarak, AB, Kuwait City, Kuwait.
Position Responsibilities:
- Leads the assembly, disassembly and/or modification of systems by the change, removal, replacement or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
- Oversee assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
- Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
- Directs troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
- Oversees validation/verification testing of systems and components.
- Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
- Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
- Leads and supervises others to perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations).
- Provides training and mentors others.
- Works under minimal direction.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years experience as an aircraft mechanic on C-17 aircraft
- Demonstrable experience of working under minimal direction
- 5+ years experience in aircraft assembly, disassembly and overhaul
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and typically 5 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Working hours:
40 hours/5 days per week with two days of rest. The days of weekend rest may vary and will be established and communicated by management in accordance with business schedule.

This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Kuwait. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll and will commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable Kuwait law. Employment is subject to the candidate's ability to satisfy all Kuwait labor and immigration formalities.
