Horeca Sales Manager

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Sales Manger who will oversees the sales, distribution, and marketing of fast-moving consumer goods. This role requires ensuring product availability, optimizing sales strategies, and maintaining strong relationships with retailers and distributors. Additionally, will be responsible for managing and expanding business relationships within the hospitality sector, including hotels, restaurants, and catering services. The focus is on sales, customer service, and operational efficiency.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve company objectives, increase market share, and drive revenue growth.
  • Set sales targets, define market segments, and identify opportunities for expansion.
  • Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing sales team.
  • Recruit and train sales representatives, set clear performance expectations, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Create sales plans and accurately forecast sales volumes.
  • Manage the distribution network to ensure products reach retailers and consumers effectively.
  • Coordinate with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers to optimize product availability.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about consumer trends, competitor activities, and changing market dynamics.
  • Use this information to make informed decisions about pricing, promotions, and product positioning.
  • Prepare and manage the sales department budget.
  • Allocate resources efficiently to maximize returns while keeping costs under control.
  • Monitor sales performance and analyze sales data to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Analyze sales reports, assess performance against targets, and implement corrective measures when necessary.
  • Implement and maintain CRM systems to manage customer interactions, sales pipelines, and customer feedback.
  • Build strong relationships with key clients and ensure their satisfaction for long-term success.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the HORECA sector.
  • Oversee service delivery to ensure quality and efficiency in catering to HORECA clients.
  • Provide ongoing training and development programs to the sales team to enhance their selling skills, product knowledge, and customer service.
  • Coordinate and oversee promotional activities, including advertising campaigns, sales promotions, and merchandising initiatives.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with key accounts (new agencies & new products) and manage relationships with important customers to ensure their loyalty and repeat business.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and present them to senior management.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to plan and execute successful product launches in the market.
  • Use historical data, market trends, and other relevant information to predict future sales volumes accurately.


Skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in sales management within the FMCG or HORECA sector.
