ROLE OBJECTIVE

To execute the outlined client acquisition, relationship and investment placement strategy which supports

GIH’s overall business objectives. Manage smooth relationships with existing and potential investors of

GIH and excel in building strong relationships with institutional investors. Help source deals for the

company and market funds to facilitate the achievement of organizational business objectives and goals.

Identifying potential investors who align with the investment strategies and objectives of asset

management firms. By leveraging these relationships, placement department can effectively market

investment opportunities and generate interest from the right investors.


DETAILED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

STRATEGIC

• Develop and implement marketing plans and strategies for investment placement to existing

and potential clients.

• Prepare the annual divisional budget, ensuring that adequate funding provision is made for all

activities; monitor periodically expenditure against approved budgets and reconcile/ monitor

budget variances to ensure on-target performance against budgets.

• Recommend proper changes in marketing and placement philosophy and policy when such

changes serve the best interests of the GIH.

• Develop customer acquisition and retention programs, as appropriate.

OPERATIONAL

• Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics and integrity in the provision of

services by the division.

• Oversee the implementation of procedures and controls in the division.

• Ensure that all transactions and activities in the division are in compliance with the set policies

and procedures.

CLIENT RELATIONSHIP AND INVESTMENT PLACEMENT

• Develop new client relationships and deepen relationships with current clients by understanding

their current and future needs and becoming their “Trusted Advisor”.

• Manage investor contacts through various channels - seminars, one-on-one contact, through

mailers and electronic media etc.

• Monitor and improve processes to actively promote strong relationships with clients.

• Oversee client acquisition, client satisfaction and client retention programs.

• Develop/ build customer loyalty and expand GIH’s existing client base.

• Execute/ assist in specific investment placement initiatives targeted at institutional and high net

worth clients.

CORPORATE COMMUNICATION

• Identify avenues for investor contact – seminars, one-to-one contact, through mailers and

electronic media etc., develop plans for effectively leveraging on the identified avenues.

• Maintain updated list of key government agencies, private organizations, media/ (PR) agencies

and high net worth individuals, establish good public relations with them and ensure their

support and participation in promotional launches for GIH ’s products in the local and

international market.

• Oversee the placement of advertisements for product/service launches including the production

of printed promotional materials, catalogs, and brochures, flyers, and media guides in

coordination with the concerned department heads.

• Represent the GIH at various community and/or business meetings; promote existing and new programs.

• Monitor the effectiveness of Marketing, PR activities and provide supervision and tactics to

maximize market gain.

CLIENT DATABASE AND INTELLIGENCE / CLIENT SUPPORT

• Develop and implement the standards for periodic and timely communication with clients

relating to client transactions and investment performance reports.

• Coordinate with concerned departments/ divisions as necessary for investment performance

reporting to clients.

• Manage recording, reporting and response to all client enquiries and complaints in respect of

client portfolios, funds and other investments.

• Update clients with financial market information, market trends and the expected impact on their

investments.

• Coordinate with other divisions/departments to ensure that all client calls/concerns have been

addressed appropriately.

• Commission market surveys to identify consumer preferences and advise business heads on

gaps between GIH’s products and services and consumer preferences.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT (when applicable)

• Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained at all times and take recruitment actions, as

necessary.

• Define job roles, allocate work to subordinates, and approve staff training needs, bonuses/

incentives, leave and overtime to ensure the efficiency of the group.

• Monitor performance of direct reports and guide them in managing their performance by

providing appropriate feedback.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND BEHAVIORAL SKILLS

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• M.B.A with specialization in Marketing or a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

EXPERIENCE:

• 12 years of related experience in Marketing, preferably in the financial services industry in the

GCC region.
