Job description
We are looking for an experienced Purchases Supervisor – Food to join a leading
organization in Kuwait.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the purchasing of food products, ensuring consistent availability and
competitive pricing.
Manage relationships with local and international food suppliers.
Source products based on quality, specifications, pricing, and availability.
Negotiate with suppliers on prices, payment terms, promotions, and delivery
schedules.
Monitor food market prices, seasonal trends, and product availability.
Ensure products comply with required quality and food safety standards.
Coordinate closely with inventory, operations, and other relevant teams to
maintain adequate stock levels.
Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities to improve cost and
product quality.
Skills
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a
related field.
Minimum 6 years of experience in food purchasing/procurement.
Strong knowledge of food products and supplier markets.
Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
Strong commercial awareness and analytical abilities.
