The Specialty Gases Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting commercial and technical sales growth of Specialty Gas Products to existing and prospective customer through both direct sales in collaboration with Sales account manager and the Sales Director/ Manager. He/She is directly accountable for market growth and development to achieve business and sales objectives territory along with continuous support to the existing client.
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive specialty gas sales within the assigned region.
- Identify new business opportunities and secure long-term supply agreements.
- Maintain a pipeline of target accounts, generating and qualifying leads through CRM tools.
- Demonstrate products to potential customers and conduct competitive intelligence research.
- Achieve sales quotas, new business development targets, and revenue growth objectives.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Conduct regular sales visits and provide visit reports to track customer engagement.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve invoice discrepancies, and respond to changing needs.
- Improve profitability of existing accounts by understanding customer requirements and offering value-driven solutions.
- Support sales account manager in growing specialty gas sales within their assigned portfolio
Sales Operations & Coordination
- Utilize CRM systems effectively to optimize sales processes and reporting.
- Establish pricing structures and secure profitable new business.
- Coordinate deliveries with the Distribution Department to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Support the collection team to meet targeted Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) metrics.
- Complete all required sales-related documentation, including call reports, month-end reports, and timely communication through emails and phone calls.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Initiatives
- Gather and analyse market data to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Support and implement marketing plans, promotions, and new product launches.
- Promote and leverage sales and marketing literature to align with regional growth strategies.
- Participate in continuous learning to enhance selling skills and product knowledge.
Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) Compliance
- Actively support and promote the company’s SHEQ agenda to foster a safe, healthy, and quality-focused workplace.
- Provide customers with engineering, technical support, training, and safety guidance for their specialty gas requirements.
Skills
- Min of 5-10 years of sales experience in industrial/specialty gases or a related field.
- Strong understanding of CRM systems and sales pipeline management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic business initiatives.
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to customer needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of technical aptitude and willingness to continuously learn about new products and applications
- Previous company experince on companies like Ashraf Company - Shimadzu, Al Arfaj - Agilent,Tectron - Bruker and ATC - Bruke preferred
