R&D Manager
We are seeking an experienced R&D Manager to lead our Research & Development activities in the development and optimization of oil field chemical products and treatment solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage R&D activities, projects, and product development initiatives.
Develop, formulate, test, and optimize oil field chemicals, including corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors, demulsifiers, produced-water treatment chemicals, and other specialty chemicals.
Lead laboratory testing, product evaluation, validation, and performance analysis.
Conduct and oversee field trials, site testing, troubleshooting, and chemical dosage optimization.
Work closely with customers and end users to understand technical requirements and provide appropriate chemical solutions.
Collaborate with Sales, Production, Procurement, Supply Chain, and QHSE teams to support product development and commercialization.
Evaluate raw materials, alternative formulations, suppliers, and new chemical technologies.
Maintain proper R&D documentation, technical reports, laboratory records, and product development data.
Ensure compliance with applicable Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental requirements and industry standards.
Lead, supervise, and develop the R&D team while promoting innovation and continuous improvement.
Support Management in identifying new product opportunities and strengthening EEC's competitiveness in the Kuwait upstream market.
Candidate Profile:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong experience in oil field chemical R&D, formulation, laboratory testing, and field applications.
Hands-on knowledge of corrosion, scale, demulsification, produced-water treatment, and chemical optimization.
Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and customer-facing skills.
Experience in developing and commercializing chemical products for the oil & gas industry will be highly preferred.
