Sales Supervisor

Job Purpose

To supervise distributors and their sales teams to ensure the achievement of sales targets, improve market coverage, and maximize product availability and visibility, while reporting performance and market insights directly to the Sales Manager.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage distributors and their sales representatives.
  • Ensure achievement of monthly and annual sales targets (Value, Volume, Distribution).
  • Monitor compliance with approved pricing, promotions, and company policies.
  • Implement sales and distribution plans across assigned territories.
  • Ensure product availability and minimize out-of-stock situations.
  • Execute and monitor in-market promotions and trade activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and retailers.
  • Identify and resolve market, distribution, and customer issues.
  • Conduct regular market visits to monitor execution and performance.
  • Train, coach, and develop sales representatives to enhance productivity.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as Sales, Logistics, and Warehousing.


Reporting

  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
  • Analyze distributor and territory performance and provide recommendations.
  • Track market trends, competitor activities, and pricing movements.
  • Report challenges, achievements, and improvement plans.
  • Reports directly to: Sales Manager.



Skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Commerce, or related field preferred).
  • 3–6 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG or beverage industry.
  • Proven experience in supervising distributors or sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of the local market and distribution channels.
