Job Summary:

 

The Sales Manager – Government Tenders is responsible for leading and managing the company’s automotive sales operations within the government and semi-government sectors. The role involves developing effective B2G sales strategies, ensuring full compliance with tendering procedures, building strong relationships with key public sector entities, and driving revenue and profitability in line with organizational goals.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Tender Management

 

·        Identify, evaluate, and respond to government tenders and procurement opportunities across all automotive product lines (passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and heavy equipment).

·        Prepare, review, and submit tender documentation in full compliance with government regulations and company standards.

·        Track tender progress, follow up on submissions, and coordinate post-award contract execution.

 

2. Sales Strategy & Execution

 

·        Develop and implement effective B2G sales strategies to achieve government and fleet sales targets.

·        Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities within ministries, public institutions, and semi-government organizations.

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize pricing, product positioning, and delivery timelines.

 

3. Relationship Management

 

·        Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with government agencies, procurement officers, and key decision-makers.

·        Represent the company at official meetings, tenders, exhibitions, and industry networking events.

·        Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term partnership development.

 

4. Financial Management & Reporting

 

·        Monitor sales performance, profitability, and cost efficiency for all government contracts.

·        Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses for senior management.

·        Ensure all tender activities align with financial and budgetary guidelines.

 

5. Team Leadership

 

·        Lead, mentor, and support a team of sales executives and tender coordinators to achieve departmental objectives.

·        Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and compliance with internal policies and government regulations.

Candidate Profile:

·        Requirement open for Arab nationals with bilingual proficiency (Arabic & English) is mandatory.

·        7–10 years of experience in automotive sales, including at least 5 years managing government tenders and fleet sales.

·        Proven success in securing and managing large-scale government contracts.

·        Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.

·        Engineering background is an added advantage.

·        Strong understanding of Kuwait government procurement systems and e-tendering platforms.

·        Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

·        Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software.

·        Valid Kuwaiti driving license.

·        Flexibility to travel locally for client meetings, site visits, and tender-related engagements.
