Job Purpose
The Category Senior Officer - Jewelry plays a critical role in supporting the management of jewelry collections, focusing on planning, sourcing, and monitoring the product category. This includes contributing to pricing strategies, promotional activities, and ensuring alignment with market trends and customer preferences to achieve sustainable growth. The role involves analyzing sales data, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, and optimizing displays to enhance sales performance.The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in category management, preferably in the jewelry or luxury goods industry, and demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Responsibilities:
Partnership Support:
- Assist in identifying and establishing new partnerships with jewelry brands.
- Support negotiations to secure favorable terms and maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with partners on replenishment orders and operational workflows.
Market Research & Data Analysis:
- Research jewelry trends, customer preferences, and competitive dynamics.
- Analyze sales data and seasonality to assist in making informed product decisions.
Portfolio Management:
- Work closely with country managers and local design teams to curate a competitive jewelry portfolio.
- Evaluate individual product attributes, including brand, design, materials, pricing, and performance metrics.
Financial Strategy Assistance:
- Contribute to pricing strategies that balance profitability and competitiveness.
- Support the development of assortment plans aligned with financial objectives and product calendars.
Category Expansion:
- Coordinate with procurement and design teams to introduce new jewelry product categories.
- Assist in demand forecasting to maintain optimal inventory levels and prevent overstocking or shortages.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in category management, preferably in the jewelry, luxury
- goods, or fashion industries.
- Basic understanding of jewelry design, materials, and market trends.
- Proficiency in data analysis and sales reporting tools.
- Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills.
- Advanced computer skills, including familiarity with category management tools.
- Ability to understand consumer behavior and buying patterns in the jewelry market.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
