We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Coordinator with expertise in shipping bookings, shipping documentation, and strong communication and secretarial skills. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing logistics, ensuring timely delivery, and supporting the smooth operation of the supply chain process.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping and Logistics Management:
- Coordinate shipping bookings with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and other logistics providers.
- Ensure accurate preparation and review of shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
- Monitor shipment schedules to ensure timely delivery and address any delays or issues.
Communication and Coordination:
- Act as a point of contact between suppliers, shipping agents, and internal teams.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on shipment status and resolve any logistics-related inquiries.
- Collaborate with the procurement and inventory teams to align delivery schedules with operational requirements.
Administrative and Secretarial Support:
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and presentations related to supply chain operations.
- Schedule and organize meetings, calls, and appointments for the supply chain team.
- Handle general administrative tasks to support the efficient functioning of the department.
Skills
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain coordination, shipping logistics, or a related role.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of shipping documentation, incoterms, and international trade compliance.
