The Public Relations Officer (PRO) will play a crucial role in building and maintaining positive relationships and act as an interface with government agencies for obtaining permits, licenses, and approvals.


Here’s some of the other things you can look forward to:

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and laws related to public relations activities.
  • Facilitate meetings with government officials and represent the organization in regulatory matters.
  • Expedite yearly renewal of company’s Commercial Registration, Membership renewal with the Chamber of Commerce, Labour Ministry, etc.
  • Liaising with Public Authority for Industry, Ministry of commerce, Chamber of commerce, Manpower, Traffic Department, Public authority for civil information, Immigration, Municipality. etc as and when required.
  • Applies and secure business and visit visas for visitors and guest as per the request of the Management.
  • Applies and secure work visa, residence permits for the employees.
  • Applies for fresh work permits, residence permits for new expatriate employees and ensure timely renewal of residencies, cancellation of employees’ work permits/residence permits, when they leave the company on exit.
  • Updates the employee records from time to time with government authorities.
  • Applies for import duty/refunds against import of raw materials.
  • Checks and authorize custom clearance papers for import of raw materials from suppliers as well as finished goods from associate companies.


This role will report into the Facilities Manager and will be based in Kuwait.

Skills

You should also have the following qualifications:

  • Diploma in Administration or equivalent is preferred
  • 5 years of proven experience in the related field.
  • Solid knowledge of the Kuwait Labour Law.
  • Professional Knowledge in Sho’oon and Jawazat and Governmental Regulations.
  • Professional knowledge of governmental procedures in issuing licenses and other related documents.
  • Solid knowledge of government computer application programs. Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
  • Professional knowledge of administrative procedures and policies applied at the Company.
  • Experience in carrying out various administrative tasks with minimal direction.
  • Organized and capable of meeting commitments.
  • Flexible and adaptable demeanor.
