We are seeking a proficient NDT Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, hands-on experience, and a commitment to quality inspection practices. As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections in accordance with industry standards and specifications, with a focus on Ultrasonic Examination, Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT) methods. Your role will primarily involve inspecting materials and components in the Refinery/Petrochemical industry, ensuring the integrity and safety of critical assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Ultrasonic Examinations using straight beam probes, adhering to ASNT Level-II Certification standards.
- Conduct thickness gauging utilizing ultrasonic digital thickness meter, ensuring accurate and reliable measurements.
- Execute Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) methods proficiently, maintaining high standards of inspection quality.
- Adhere to established inspection procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements throughout the inspection process.
- Collaborate with fellow inspectors and engineering personnel to analyze inspection results, identify defects, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Document inspection findings, including detailed reports, data analysis, and recommendations for further evaluation or maintenance.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment regularly to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
Skills
Qualifications:
- Secondary School Education is required. A Graduate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- ASNT Level-II Certification in Ultrasonic Examination using straight beam probes is mandatory.
- Proficiency in thickness gauging using ultrasonic digital thickness meter is essential.
- ASNT Level-II Certification in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) methods is required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, with at least two (2) years in the Refinery/Petrochemical industry.
