Job Summary
We are seeking a Downstream Process Engineer with experience in Thermal cracking (Delayed Coker / Visbreaking) processes to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence organization under the Downstream Global Manufacturing Support Department (GMSD). GMSD's technical team is a multidisciplinary team that provides the required high-quality technical support to GM operating facilities (Refineries, NGLF, and petrochemical plants) inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia & across the globe. Your primary role will be to provide process engineering and operations expertise to monitor, optimize, and drive performance improvement programs for refineries' thermal cracking processes, including remote and field technical advisory support, benchmarking, and Delayed Coker / Visbreaker technology knowledge management and exchange. You will drive the performance improvement programs which enhance process safety, optimize manufacturing cost, and increase plant reliability.
Key Responsibilities<br/><br/>Review and monitor the performance of existing Thermal cracking (Delayed Coker / Visbreaker) facilities using key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operability, profitability, reliability, and process safety.
Issue quarterly performance benchmarking reports highlighting KPIs analysis and performance improvement recommendations.
Monitor and support the facilities in implementing the recommendations and closing performance gaps identified in the benchmarking reports.
Conduct benchmarking and best practice exchange workshops among Global Manufacturing facilities with Thermal cracking (Delayed Coker / Visbreaker) process technologies.
Provide on-demand remote and/or field technical advisory support to Global Manufacturing facilities on matters related to the operation of Thermal cracking (Delayed Coker / Visbreaker) plants including process troubleshooting, startup and shutdown activities, capacity test runs, technology pilot testing, and process design.<br/><br/>... This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or a related specialization. An advanced degree is preferred. Minimum of 15 years of total experience in refinery process units including experience in process engineering and operations. At least 10 years experience in handling Delayed Coker / Visbreaker plants. Exposure to different licensor technologies for Thermal cracking Delayed Coker / Visbreaker is preferred.
