  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels, including stock counts, deliveries, and withdrawals.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is available for daily operations while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Implement inventory control measures, such as regular stock checks, rotation, and proper storage practices, to prevent spoilage, pilferage, or loss.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure timely replenishment of stock and avoid stockouts.
  • Receive and inspect all incoming deliveries to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with purchase orders.
  • Verify quantities, weights, and specifications of received items against invoices or delivery notes.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues to the appropriate parties for resolution.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve any receiving or quality-related issues promptly.
  • Implement cost control measures in inventory management to minimize waste, spoilage, and overstocking.
  • Analyze inventory consumption patterns and identify opportunities to optimize stock levels and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to monitor and track expenses related to inventory and supplies.
  • Assist in conducting regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and adherence to cost control measures.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of all items in designated areas according to safety and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the storage areas, including regular cleaning and pest control measures.
  • Implement appropriate labeling and coding systems to facilitate easy identification and retrieval of items.
  • Monitor shelf life and expiry dates of perishable items and take necessary actions to minimize waste.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and any related issues or concerns.
  • Maintain proper documentation of all inventory-related transactions, including receipts, issuances, and transfers.
  • Provide regular updates to management on inventory status, cost control initiatives, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist line managers by fulfilling reasonable tasks or requests assigned to support organizational training goals and policies.

Skills

  • Must have basic reading and speaking proficiency in Arabic.
  • Previous experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar inventory management role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Strong background in cost control and receiving, with a demonstrated ability to optimize inventory levels and minimize waste.
  • Preferred prior experience with Material Control System (MC) or similar inventory management systems.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory records and documentation. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and management.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using inventory management software or spreadsheet applications.
