Role Description

This is a temporary remote role for a Research Lead. The Research Lead will be responsible for leading a research-based effort. Developing research plans, conducting research, analyzing data, and presenting findings to the team. The Research Lead will also be responsible for managing the project timelines as coordinated with us at aLDP.

Skills

  • Multidisciplinary Research Background: Experience in social science (cultural studies, public health) research
  • Strong Writing Skills: The ability to write, edit, and refine proposals, research papers, and survey questionnaires is crucial. This includes adhering to publication standards and crafting engaging and persuasive texts.
  • Project Management Skills: Organizing and driving projects to completion, managing timelines, and coordinating with different parties (e.g., conference participants, research collaborators, survey respondents).
  • Persistence: We need persistence in communication (email threads) in case the respondents fell off track
  • Communication Skills: Comfort in reaching out to & following up with multiple parties in Kuwait & the region. This requires proficient email and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to tackle unforeseen challenges, adapt to new information, and devise solutions on the go.
  • Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in both Arabic & English
