Operations Manager

Overview:

As a Food and Beverage (F&B) Operations Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing and optimizing the daily operations of the food and beverage department within a hospitality or dining establishment. Your primary responsibilities will include managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, implementing cost-control measures, and contributing to the overall success of the F&B operations.


Key Responsibilities:


Team Leadership:


  • Recruit, train, and supervise F&B staff, including servers, cooks, and support staff.
  • Foster a positive work environment, providing guidance and motivation to the team.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any performance issues.

Operations Management:


  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee day-to-day F&B operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various F&B functions.
  • Monitor and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through quality service and products.

Customer Service:


  • Uphold and enforce service standards to ensure an exceptional dining experience for customers.
  • Address customer feedback and complaints promptly, striving to resolve issues and enhance customer satisfaction.

Financial Management:


  • Manage budgetary constraints and contribute to the development of financial goals.
  • Implement cost-control measures, monitor expenses, and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to analyze financial reports.

Menu Development and Inventory Control:


  • Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to create and update menus that align with customer preferences and market trends.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste.

Regulatory Compliance:


  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and licensing requirements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.

Event Planning and Coordination:


  • Coordinate and manage special events, banquets, and catering services.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote events and drive revenue.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in F&B management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Financial acumen and budget management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
