• Performing visual and dimensional inspections of OCTG pipes at various stages of manufacturing, storage, and transportation.
• Utilizing non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques such as magnetic particle testing (MT), liquid penetrant testing (PT), ultrasonic testing (UT), and electromagnetic testing (ET) to detect defects and discontinuities in pipes.
• Interpreting inspection results and documenting findings accurately in inspection reports.
• Collaborating with production teams to address any quality issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintaining inspection equipment and ensuring it is calibrated and functioning properly.
• Adhering to safety protocols and procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in welding, metallurgy, or non-destructive testing is preferred.
• Previous experience in OCTG pipe inspection or a related field is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards (e.g., API, ASTM).
• Certification in non-destructive testing techniques (e.g., ASNT Level II certification) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspection findings.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Physical ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy pipes and inspection equipment.
• Willingness to adhere to strict safety regulations and protocols.
