  • The role is very significant within an organization, involving activities engaged in the planning, and distribution of products or goods. He has to ensure all import activities in safe, smooth and procedures are followed. Responsible to manage and oversee all paperwork that is required to ensure that the shipment of purchased or traded goods occurs efficiently and, most importantly, legally. Responsible in organizing import operations and ensuring that they are carried out effectively and efficiently.

  • Responsible for all import activities to ensure safe and smooth flow.

  • Ensure that all goods and products have been delivered properly and on time.

  • Review the Signing off on bill of lading, noting any damaged freight and handling the claims when needed.

  • Controlling paperwork from the time of import order until to receive the merchandise.

  • Observing and formulating the records of the activities related to imports.

  • Negotiating documented agreements for the delivery and management of products

  • Respond to customers or shippers questions, inquiries, complaints.

  • Controlling import new item ingredients Arabic, French and English.

  • Ensuring that he receives superior quality freight charges on regular basis.

  • Controlling landed cost percentage

  • Perform any import matters by interacting with outside party concerned.

  • Coming and pending, damage and shrinkage import deliveries

  • Develop a detailed understanding of the shipping and receiving requirements

  • To analyses all new law and regulates from imports goods to stock goods

  • Calculation and analyses of estimated and updated landing cost

  • Manages his team which include organizing work schedules and ensure delivery times and locations are well-coordinated.

  • Solves complex problems with little or no conflicting available principles

  • Interfacing with Ministry/ Baladiya as required.

  • Managing Arabic, French, English ingredients for import items due to origin of country.

  • Following penalty, damage, rejected items with forwarder, suppliers, customs and health departments

  • Collaborate with Store Team and Freight Forwarders and administer appropriate movement of all goods and supervise all freight flow and ensure clearance and delivery of all import goods.

  • Analyze demurrage cost

Skills

SKILLS | QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree

  • Language speaking preferably: English and Arabic; French is an advantage

  • Good knowledge of supreme council of Health and Municipality rules and regulations

  • Ability to easily comprehend and organize shipment processes

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the same capacity in GCC region

  • Excellent knowledge in computer, including Word and Excel in a Microsoft Windows environment

  • Effective Oral and Communication Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills

  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner

  • Have a strong communication skills.

  • Ability to manage fast-paced, high volume, customer-focused through high level management supervision.
