Support the Director in managing the Convention & Events team, ensuring a positive and productive work environment
Supervise daily operations, assign tasks, and ensure adequate staffing levels
Coach and develop team members through training, feedback, and performance reviews
Ensure team compliance with IHG standards, procedures, and service delivery
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless event execution

Financial


Assist in preparing forecasts, budgets, and financial plans
Monitor sales performance, revenue, and productivity metrics
Support in negotiating rates within established booking guidelines
Identify opportunities to maximize revenue and control costs

Guest Experience


Act as a key contact for clients, ensuring a smooth and memorable event journey
Support in building and maintaining strong relationships with planners and clients
Assist with pre-event planning, ensuring all details (setup, flow, menu, logistics) are optimized
Coordinate event details including room setup, staging, and timing
Participate in pre-event and post-event meetings to ensure service excellence
Support daily client interaction during events, ensuring satisfaction and handling any issues promptly
Assist in analysing guest feedback and satisfaction surveys to improve service

Responsible Business


Support initiatives that enhance the hotel’s reputation and brand presence locally
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sustainability standards
Promote environmentally responsible practices during events
Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs
