Lifting Engineer

Requirement

Lifting Engineer shall hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or its equivalent and have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in planning Heavy and critical Lifting activities in the Oil and gas industry.

Knowledge of all lifting equipment and various crane types.

Working Experience in Offshore jacket/topside/Riser tower fabrication /installation project preferred

Experience in Supervision of critical and heavy lifts

Expertise in developing Auto Cad Lifting plans for Critical and Non Routine Lifts.

Strong understanding of rigging principles

Excellent communication skill.

Member in LEEA or similar/equivalent


Roles and responsibilities


Preparation of Lifting plans as per the site verification using AUTOCAD, and submitting lifting plans pack with all relevant documents for the client approval per the Company Lifting Procedure .

Promote Safe Handling and Lifting Operations referring to Company HSE policy and international standards.

Assess, analyse, plan and execute lifting operations on site in line with Company standards

Verify the lifting equipment requirements through a review of the scope of work

Maintain a systematic and methodological approach to the Lifting Operations.

Ensure lifting equipment used in the execution of all lifting activities has the required capacity for the safe execution of the lifting operation.

Participates in the Coaching, Mentoring, and Training of Rigging Supervisor,Rigging Foreman, and Riggers.

To be involved in planning internal audits of the lifting operations participates in lifting operations incident investigation and analyses

Lead the lifting teams at the Site, towards safe work practice and ensure lifting operations are held safely, considering all hazards and corresponding controls.

Ensure any lifting equipment and lifting appliance used by his team has a valid third-party certificate and ensure that all lifting appliances are color-coded as per the current color coding system.

Ensure that all lifting is carried out safely and competently as per the approved Lifting plan.
