The Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) specialist play in integral role of an ESP team are responsible for a ESP operating data/parameters transfer from a wellsite to a control room to allow ESP Optimization engineer to performs ESP performance monitoring, troubleshooting, surveillance and controlling remotely. Post to be defined based on degree and number of years in any relevant discipline or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities

The SCADA Technician shall carry out installation, troubleshooting, startup, shutdown, surveillance, monitoring, maintenance and necessary instrumentation calibration of SCADA system. The employee is responsible for knowing the procedures that describe the specific tasks or activities they must perform as part of their job for fault/rectification/repair: in case of Equipment fault, must have knowledge and capabilities of within 12 hours of occurrence of fault to rectify the fault.

Summary of daily field activities, including maintenance, installation, commissioning, or decommissioning operations.

Total number of monitored wells under the SCADA system.

Count of wells currently in operation Count and detailed breakdown of wells in shutdown status.

Communication network health status for all connected field devices, including RTUs, transmitters, and VSDs.

Identification of abnormal operating conditions and smart recommendations for production optimization and downtime avoidance.

SCADA specific reporting on system installations, decommissions, field-level issues, and any anomalies affecting data acquisition or device control, delivered on both a daily and weekly basis or as otherwise requested by the Company.

Status of Missing/Frozen data: SCADA System ( VSD, surface gauges, Genset) shall be properly identified and communicated to a customer Must know in details of contract related to SCADA requirements as well as practical application in the field Report as per use framework Situation Complication Question and Answer (SCQA) with documented facts

Financial & Profit and Loss responsibility

SCADA system up and running 99% time No penalties related to SCADA system performance.

Customer Relationship and Contract Compliance

Ensure proper customer communication.

Qualifications & Experience

The minimum required work experience for the SCADA Technician in instrumentation and SCADA solutions shall be 2 years and for Kuwaiti shall have one (1) years’ experience.
