• Identify and evaluate potential new investments across the different asset classes


• Perform market research and competitive analysis on a macro and micro level


• Asses market trends, earnings prospects, financial statements and various other indicators and factors to determine suitable investment strategies/ opportunities.


• Monitor all existing investments in the portfolio and draw conclusions


• Prepare investment memos and make informed recommendations on new investment opportunities


• Help in the development of an investment policy aligned with the investment strategy


• Assist in the implementation of the approved investment strategy that meets the company's return goals and financial needs


• Perform financial and technical due diligence and analysis on prospective projects and recommend an investment decision


• Manage the process of deal documentation, legal review, and financial administration


• Create financial models that enhance return on investment of projects and financial planning

Skills

The job holder must have:

• A BS degree in Finance or Accounting or related field


• A master's degree in business or finance or a CFA level certification will be an added advantage


• At least three to five years' experience in the field of finance and investment


• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills


• Excellent research and writing abilities


• Thorough understanding of financial analysis and investment strategy


• Interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure


• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
