Job Description:

The 3D Printing Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining 3D printers,CNC machines, screen printing equipment, and engraving machines. Creating high-quality prototypes, custom designs, and finished products, ensuring precision and efficiency throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

· 3D Printer Operation

Operate various types of 3D printers (e.g., FDM, SLA, SLS, etc.).

Load, configure, and monitor print jobs for accuracy and efficiency.

Execute post-processing tasks such as cleaning, sanding, or curing prints.

· File Preparation

Prepare 3D models for printing using slicing software (e.g., Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Slicer, Orca).

Optimize models for structural integrity and material usage.

Troubleshoot and resolve design or slicing issues.

· Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Perform routine maintenance and calibration on 3D printers.

Diagnose and repair technical issues with machines.

Keep a log of maintenance schedules and repairs.

· Quality Control

Inspect printed parts for defects, accuracy, and consistency.

Ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.

Suggest improvements to enhance print quality and process efficiency.

· Material Management

Manage inventory of 3D printing materials (filaments, resins, etc.).

Experiment with new materials and provide feedback on performance.

· Collaboration

Work with design and engineering teams to meet project goals.

Provide technical support and recommendations for design optimization.

Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in 3D printing technology.

Skills

Qualifications:

· Education

High School/Diploma or Bachelor Degree’s

· Experience:

Experience in 3D printing or additive manufacturing (1-3 years preferred).

· Technical Skills:

Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360) is a plus.

Strong knowledge of 3D printing technologies and materials.

Proficiency in slicing software and troubleshooting processes.

· Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot the systems.

· Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

High level of attention to detail, especially in designing and implementing precise and reliable systems.
