An AC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems in residential and commercial buildings. They must have a thorough understanding of HVAC systems and be able to diagnose and fix any issues that arise. The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent technical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a customer service-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair split and central air conditioning systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Perform regular inspections of AC units to identify and resolve any issues
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions
- Repair or replace defective parts and components
- Perform tests to ensure the proper functioning of AC systems
- Clean and maintain AC units to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Respond to customer service calls in a timely and professional manner
- Provide customers with explanations and recommendations regarding the AC system
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work
Preferred Candidate:
- Proven experience as an AC Technician or similar role
- Technical degree or certification in HVAC or a related field
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license
