Job Brief:
The Diesel Generator Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of diesel generator sets and associated electrical systems.
Your Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel generator sets
- Diagnose and repair faults in electrical, mechanical, and control systems
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of generator sets to ensure optimal performance
- Install and commission new diesel generator sets
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and labor hours
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements and best practices in diesel generator technology
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills
Your Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in diesel generator maintenance and repair
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine operations and electrical systems
- Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting generator faults using specialized tools and equipment
- Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards
