Business Development & Demand Planning Analyst

Job Purpose:

Business Development: Works closely with Senior General Manager and Senior Group Support Manager on the entire business development life cycle from identification of  prospects to closure of the deal, and planning and executing the transition of business.

Demand Planning: Part of Demand Planning team whose responsibilities are to ensure right stock is available for every item throughout the year, as well as to drive and finalize forecast validation, purchase order creation & processing, local promotion order processing, supplier debit note preparation, municipality health clearance process, KPI reporting and plays a central role and coordinates between Supplier, Sales Divisions, Warehouse, Freight Forwarding, Accounts & Finance teams. 


Key Accountabilities:


Business Development:

  • Identify prospective agencies for GTRC (through market visits, secondary research, market information, supplier contact etc.)
  • Contact prospective agencies
  • Present GTRC, its capabilities & value proposition
  • Negotiate the commercial terms with the supplier
  • Review & Finalize the legal agreements
  • Plan & Execute the transition of the agency to GTRC


Demand Planning:

  • Play a critical role in finalizing sales forecast considering all critical inputs from sales, promotions, seasonality, special causes.
  • Validate supplier dispatches and to report any anomalies
  • Coordinate with Suppliers and ensure that Purchase Orders are prepared accurately, entered in SAP on-time, based on agreed supply chain criteria, forecast & stock levels
  • Process order in SAP by creating inbounds & shipment costs
  • Ensure that items ordered are delivered on-time by coordinating with Suppliers, Freight forwarding team, Warehouse team
  • Make sure that Article Master data is accurate & complete
  • Create & process Local promotion order in SAP accurately & on-time
  • Prepare supplier debit notes & recovery of spend from suppliers on time & accurately with all relevant information
  • Coordinate with Freight forwarding company & Baladiya in case of health clearance of items
  • KPI Monitoring & Analysis for key supply chain indicators
  • Work closely with Accounts team to ensure month end closing activities are completed accurately & on-time
  • Ad-hoc analysis
