A well-established regional company is currently looking for an experienced, self-motivated, Proposal Engineer to be based Amman- Jordan office.
Skills & Technical Background
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of working experience as a proposal/application engineer.
- Technical knowledge in pumps, valves and piping is an advantage.
- Excellent English language in written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-versed with handling different types of computer systems (ERP software).
- Excellent planning, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Working under pressure and able to travel when needed.
- Problem-solving and decision-making.
Job Duties
- Understand and evaluate the inquiries received from customers
- Read the technical specifications to identify the correct item and configure our specifications accordingly if required
- Search and build relations with existing and potential suppliers/manufacturers
- Preparing RFQ’s and send to potential suppliers/manufacturers
- Analyze all suppliers to select the most suitable offers meeting the requirements
- Review and evaluate the quotations received from different suppliers/manufacturers.
- Accurate estimation and costing for offers to be submitted
- Bidding/pricing strategy in discussion with Sales/ Superior
- Preparation of techno-commercial content of proposals.
- Generate and submit the offer through ERP system or through online portals.
- Attend site visits and meetings with customers and suppliers
- Prompt response for any offers clarifications
