The following announcement is for a position within the Kuwait National Space Research Centre (KNSRC), a department within KFAS.
Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field (with recognition by the relevant Ministry of Higher Education). Minimum of 6 years of experience in the same or related field Proficient in English and Arabic. Key Accountabilities: Support the development and execution of satellite mission activities across relevant phases of the mission lifecycle, including system definition, integration, testing, launch preparation, commissioning support, and operational follow-up. Assist in translating mission objectives into technical requirements, subsystem specifications, payload needs, and implementation activities under the guidance of the Senior Specialist. Contribute to technical studies, feasibility assessments, schedule inputs, and risk identification to support mission planning and execution. Assist in monitoring mission performance, investigating technical issues, and contributing to corrective actions during operational phases. Support satellite system and subsystem design and integration activities to ensure technical compatibility, interface alignment, and mission readiness. Assist in the integration of payloads, sensors, and related subsystems into satellite platforms in coordination with relevant technical teams. Support the application of systems engineering processes across assigned activities, including requirements tracking, interface coordination, verification support, and change control. Participate in testing and validation activities, including functional, performance, and environmental testing, to confirm the readiness of systems and subsystems. Support the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of ground-segment elements, including mission-control tools, ground-support systems, and related technical infrastructure. Maintain and operate engineering and testing facilities, including electronics laboratories, sensor development laboratories, and environmental testing capabilities, to support satellite technology activities. Support the development and technical improvement of satellite systems, subsystems, and related space technologies to enhance performance, reliability, and long-term sustainability. Contribute to prototype development, engineering enhancements, and technical improvements related to satellite technology activities. Coordinate with relevant internal teams to support satellite technology activities, including system integration, calibration alignment, telemetry-related support, and mission execution. Support communication and coordination with satellite vendors, manufacturers, launch service providers, testing and integration facilities, technology suppliers, and other relevant external stakeholders involved in satellite activities.
